Chef Salad with House Dressing

This creamy quick-to-fix dressing is made with mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. But takes on a personality when the secret ingredients are added - Lemon & Mint! Also, try using this dressing as a dip for raw vegetables.

Ingredients

Salad

  • Iceburg lettuce, chopped
  • Tomato, cut into wedges
  • Seedless cucumber
  • Green olives
  • Red onion, sliced
  • Peppered ham, cut into strips
  • Roasted turkey, cut into strips
  • Super sharp cheese, cut into strips
  • Hard boiled egg, sliced
  • Croutons

Dressing

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 Tbs. dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. mint
  • 1 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp. dill
  • 1/8 tsp. thyme

Directions

  1. In a medium sized bowl, mix together all of the ingredients thoroughly.
  2. Transfer to an air tight container and store in the fridge over night.

Yields 2 cups

  • This dressing can be used as a dip for raw vegetables, just add in a little extra sour cream for a thicker consistency.
