Blueberry Squares

If you're looking for a quick & easy dessert to make - your search is over! This dessert is so simple to make, you can easily prepare it in less than 10 minutes. Serve it warm, with a drizzle of warm frosting... And best of all, it's delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 (16.3 oz.) tube Pillsbury Grands Buttermilk Biscuits
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 half pint Blueberries (about 6 oz.)
  • 1/2 cup Quick Oats
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, slightly softened
  • 1 jar Vanilla Frosting

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Lightly grease a 8x8 pan with shortening or cooking spray.  In a large plastic zip-top bag, mix sugar and cinnamon.  (Do not mix in the brown sugar, that is reserved for the topping)
  2. Separate dough into 8 biscuits; cut each into quarters.  Shake in bag to coat.  Arrange in pan, then add the blueberries evenly over the top of the biscuit pieces.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar; butter & quick oats together.  Sprinkle evenly over biscuit pieces.
  4. Bake 28 to 32 minutes or until golden brown and no longer doughy in the center.  Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
  5. Serve the Blueberry Squares warm by placing them in the microwave for about 20 seconds.  Drizzle each serving with vanilla frosting.  (To loosen the frosting, so that you can easily drizzle it - either place a few spoonfuls of it in the microwave for about 10 seconds, or add a tiny bit of hot water & mix until combined)

Serves 4 - 9 depending on size of each serving
